City of Las Vegas Allows Safe Sidewalk Dining

For downtown businesses allowed to open their doors under phases 1 and 2 of Governor Sisolak’s reopening plan, the City of Las Vegas is now temporarily allowing them to provide outdoor dining and sidewalk sales.

Each business will be required to follow the state’s social distancing recommendations including for tables, chairs and other furniture.

There must be six feet for a “pedestrian path” at all times.

The affected area is from Sahara to the U.S. 95, and from the I-15 to roughly 6th street along with Fremont East.

With Governor Sisolak’s Phase 1 initiation of the state’s reopening plan amid the coronavirus pandemic, restaurants, salons, barbershops, nail salons and retailers were allowed to reopen with major restrictions in place.

The official start date for Phase 1 was May 9, with the governor expecting it to last roughly two to three weeks.

Anyone with questions regarding the sidewalk dining and shopping can call the city’s center 702-229-CARE.
