Many local businesses took the opportunity to share information about their services and events on Saturday, Feb. 8 at an event held at the main trailhead of the Logandale Trails area. The Las Vegas field office of the Bureau of Land Management hosted a “Community Day” in which visitors to Logandale Trails were able to find out about the Moapa Valley business sector and what it offers.
Local business-owners arrived early and began setting up vendor booths with giveaways, information and more.
There was also food available including doughnuts, oranges, cheese sticks, cookies and more for the crowds who stopped by. Visitors could also get maps for the trails and snack on a few items.
Moapa Valley Chamber of Commerce President Vanette Christensen spoke highly of the event. “This is a great benefit for the community as a whole group be able to come together,” she said. “People working together in one purpose. I love that!”
Besides being able to help with suggestions and information about the local eatery and tourist scene, visitors thinking about becoming Moapa Valley residents could get their questions answered.
It turned out to be a busy day due to the wonderful weather. Several visitors mentioned they came down from Utah, Idaho and Colorado to get away from the recent blast of snowstorms they have received. These folks were informed about the upcoming Moapa Valley Days, the Clark County Fair and other events coming up in the community.
