The southwest part of Las Vegas is known for being a more open part of the valley, with pockets of undeveloped lots of land, plenty of beautiful, new living communities, and unobstructed views of the Strip and the Red Rock Canyon mountain range.

What’s it’s not known for, however, is being an area that has a dedicated, trendy shopping or entertainment center like its Downtown Summerlin counterpart.

That’s about to change with the latest major shopping center currently being constructed in the area. It’ll be known as “The Bend,” and it’s being built near S. Durango Drive and W. Sunset Road.

The Bend shopping center will be more than just that, though. The entire plaza will include luxury theaters and restaurants on top of retail.

In addition to entertainment real estate, commercial development is also booming in the area.

The Bend, that they’re touting as the “shopping experience at Sunset and Durango,” is gearing up to the largest development for dining and entertainment in the southwest area. Currently, there are ten tenants set up, 170,000 square feet planned, and 725 parking spaces that will be made available.
