You get a great view from the eighth floor of the parking garage.
Before me is a scene of a resort rapidly pushing toward completion.
"We're about 75-percent completed. And we're on schedule to open next summer," says Resorts World Las Vegas President Scott Sibella.
His resort--all 3,500 rooms of it, sitting on 88 acres on the Strip's north end, was barreling toward completion as 2020 arrived. The pandemic had other plans.
"We slowed down a little bit but never came to a stop, but now we're back to full momentum. This week alone we have at least almost 3,500 construction workers on the site," Sibella told me.
I was here ten months ago; ten months later, progress is evident: the resort is now being built out, with its signature features plainly evident: a 5,000 person capacity theater; a 117,000 square foot casino; a 100,000 square foot LED screen on the resort's West Tower, billed as one of the biggest in the world; and signage is going up on the property.
